Marketing

When you spend time and money developing a product, you can start an epidemic, or you could go bankrupt and lose about a year of your life; or many for that matter.  You see, when you market a product, it just seems to work, unless it's something that seems to be developed when the person who was developing it was not in right mind.  The thing is, marketing is a great thing for some, and terrible for others.  If you are a buyer, you subdue to the flashy advertisements you see on the television or the billboard you saw on your way to work, vacation, etc.  There is a terrible aspect to it.  If you get the wrong people watching your ads, you may get a terrible reputation.  Take smoking for example.  Teens are smoking more than ever before, partially through peer pressure, but partly because of the ads with beautiful women or money that the adolescents see in magazines.  BUT if you can get the correct audience, you could be immortalized through your product.  As a consumer, you have to ask yourself 3 basic questions.  First, is it worth the money? 2. Why am I buying this? (is it off an impulse, you want to be cool) 3.  Do I really want this?  Most of the time, the answer is no, but people buy the product anyway.  Thats what marketing can do to the populus.  It is the basis of a consumer market, and it always will be.  Thanks for reading.
