Marketing

When you spend time and money developing a product, you can start an epidemic, or you could go bankrupt and lose about a year of your life; or many for that matter.  You see, when you market a product, it just seems to work, unless it's something that seems to be developed when the person who was developing it was not in right mind.  The thing is, marketing is a great thing for some, and terrible for others.  If you are a buyer, you subdue to the flashy advertisements you see on the television or the billboard you saw on your way to work, vacation, etc.  There is a terrible aspect to it.  If you get the wrong people watching your ads, you may get a terrible reputation.  Take smoking for example.  Teens are smoking more than ever before, partially through peer pressure, but partly because of the ads with beautiful women or money that the adolescents see in magazines.  BUT if you can get the correct audience, you could be immortalized through your product.  As a consumer, you have to ask yourself 3 basic questions.  First, is it worth the money? 2. Why am I buying this? (is it off an impulse, you want to be cool) 3.  Do I really want this?  Most of the time, the answer is no, but people buy the product anyway.  Thats what marketing can do to the populus.  It is the basis of a consumer market, and it always will be.  Thanks for reading.

In a basic sense:

When we think about the internet, we think of games, socializing networks, and of course the basis of all term papers today: google.  Now, I really like google and what they're doing with the possibilities of research today.  Heck, you can even text them now and get information you desperately needed like that phone number for the reservation you forgot to make for your hotel after your flight.  Gmail is another great aspect of google.  Now, not only can you search the web, you can get your mail on the same website! Some of you are thinking, "well what the hell? what else could i possibly need?"  Answer is: A place where you can get all the games, socializing information, youtube, etc.  WELL GUESS WHAT?!?! Google has that too!!!!!!!!! Even if you go to the home page, you made a wise choice.  First of all, you have MANY options in the toolbar above, but also.... if you notice under everything else, it says BUSINESS SOLUTIONS!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!  What a deal, go to one website and get anything under the sun.  The Business solutions is what captured my thoughts today.  If they have such great solutions, why can't corporate america just use the search engine to help solve their crisis?  :)  One more thing: Google, as great as it already is, can stop you from sending drunk emails!!!! Gmail asks you a series of basic math questions and if you get them wrong, no need to send the email, because you must be drunk!  Thanks google! You saved me from getting fired!  If you are saying that, you probably should not have been on the computer in the first place.  Thanks for your time. :)

and on a lighter note.

Besides talking about politics and life around us.. one of my passions is following and playing baseball.  So I'm GEARED for spring training to start, I've been waiting for about 5 months now.  My team didn't go far in the playoffs so i stopped following.  (GO CUBS!)  I can almost taste the ballpark franks and hear that bat crack.  Hope it comes around faster than it seems to me.  This year, I think the Rays will NOT come back to the world series, I just don't see a way it's possible.  Sorry Rays, sorry eastern division.. but the Angels are going all the way.

P.S.  I am a versatile writer. ha

My first post.. about random stuff.

Alright, so what do we see when we look out onto the streets of America?  At the moment, we see poverty.. recession.. and a HELL of a lot of worried faces.  The thing I don't exactly care for is the fact that everyone is complaining.  People... get over it.. there's not much we can do.  It's really up to the government to get us out for the moment, so quit your complaining.  They are doing what they can.  I may be offending some, but i try to speak the truth.  Thank Obama for TRYING HIS HARDEST to get the economy stimulated.  The only thing i would like to say to those of you complaining: Shut. Up.
